Situated in the mountain foothills of the Serra de Lousa in the North Central area of Portugal, the farm of 1,700 m² occupies one side of a small, steep, terraced valley surrounded by pine and eucalyptus forests. A small mountain stream runs along the bottom edge of the property and the land has its own freshwater spring, both of which supply water all year. The adjoing land (approx 1.2 ha) is also available for purchase (different owner). At the top of the property is a stone 'yurt circle' just waiting for a 5 meter yurt from http://larfinyurts.portugalclassified.com . The property is located approximately 1 km from the local village bar/shop at Vale da Galega, 5 minute drive from Pedrógão Pequeno and 10 minutes from Pedrógão Grande. The farm is accessed through a steep forest track of approximately 500 meters, presently only accessible with a 4x4 vehicle. The main house is 7m x 6m on two storeys, with adjoining one-storey 6m x 4m annex and a separate 5m x 5m one-storey kitchen with functioning bread oven, gas cooker, gas fridge and a small washing machine. The caravan is an old and comfortable double bed plus single bed bailey. With gas cooker, sink and wood burning stove. There is a composting toilet and solar shower in a small annex to the kitchen. The house, kitchen and caravan are site wired for light and power, and generator powered. The house has a telephone and broadband up to 4 MB (currently disconnected).
